How does the Dublin Bay Sail Experience work?
First, your team boards a traditionally rigged wooden sailing vessel at Dún Laoghaire Marina. A professional crew then introduces practical skills for operating the boat. As the group learns, colleagues can take part in tasks such as helming and sail handling.
The vessel departs from and returns to Dún Laoghaire Marina. Usually, the route heads towards Howth or Dalkey Island. However, tides and wind determine the direction of the sail.
Choose a four-hour half-day booking or an eight-hour full day. During the programme, your team can explore a range of sailing tasks:
- Sail hoisting and setting
- Helming (steering)

What should guests arrange separately?
- Food & beverages beyond the listed tea, coffee and biscuits cost extra. If you need catering, we can organise it through the chosen venue.
- Transport to and from the venue costs extra. However, we can organise it for you.
- Clothes and footwear. Good footwear. Soft-soled shoes are ideal. Dress for the weather to include an rain jacket / windbreaker.
