Description

Forest Adventure: woodland team building

Forest Adventure combines team challenges, bushcraft and nature-based experiences. Choose a half-day, full-day or multi-day programme. Then tailor the activities, dining and overnight options to your group.

How does Forest Adventure work?

First, decide what you want your team to experience. You can focus on outdoor skills, mindfulness, team building or a mix of activities. The team delivers programmes in line with Leave No Trace principles.

Next, discuss the timetable and practical arrangements. Contact Event Square with your group size, preferred date and goals. You can also compare our team experiences when choosing your programme.

Which activities can you choose?

  • Natural Living Skills: explore fundamental outdoor skills and confidence in nature.
  • Forest bathing: connect with the woodland through sensory and mindful activities.
  • Yoga and mindfulness: spend time practising in a natural setting.
  • Wood carving: try a creative woodland craft.
  • The MacGyver Challenge: combine archery, orienteering and physical and mental team tasks.
  • WeGo Team Challenge: tackle six to eight challenges, followed by a group finale.
  • Bushmaster Survival Challenge: join collaborative bushcraft and judged outdoor cooking tasks.
  • Guided hikes: explore the scenic hills of Wicklow.

What is included?

  • Venue sourcing
  • Event planning

Food, beverages, transport and accommodation cost extra. However, we can help organise these through the chosen venue. Confirm your selected activities and all extras when reviewing the event plan.

Overnight options for Forest Adventure

For a longer programme, discuss the following accommodation choices:

  • Rustic tipis: spacious single-pole Norwegian canvas tipis for six or more people. These include pallet beds, sleeping mats and interior lighting. Bring your own sleeping bag and pillow.
  • Tree tents: camping in the trees for two or three people, with sleeping mats and interior lighting.
  • Camping hammocks: a hammock and tarp sleep system with mosquito netting and a self-inflating mat.
  • Trekking tents: two-person or three-person tents.

Dining in the woods

The venue holds a licence for open-fire cooking. Optional dining choices include a Brazilian BBQ with picanha, a BBQ platter, forest burgers, buffet lunch and salads. Pizza, quesadillas and pasta also feature among the bespoke options.

Tea, coffee and minerals are further options to discuss. Before choosing your menu, share dietary requirements and confirm what your quote includes. Dining remains a separate cost.

What can your team explore?

The programme gives colleagues time away from electronic devices and opportunities to learn outdoor skills. In addition, shared tasks encourage people to recognise one another’s strengths and practise collaboration.

  • Connection with nature
  • A shared experience and sense of achievement
  • Team interaction and group cohesion
  • Opportunities to practise leadership and self-reliance
